Siding is going on, stonework is starting and Spring is in the air…and on the ground! What a mud-filled site. I thought I would do a quick update on the project. Take a look!

Is this porch ever going to get done?! Well… it is and I am behind on my post updates. There will be one more after this one showing the final result in its full glory this Spring. In this video we install the screening and do some patching around the new door. Take a look!

Even though we have had highs in the below 0 degree range, the RCU Discovery Center at YMCA Camp St Croix moves forward! I feel for the crew as it is hard enough for me to have site meetings in a semi-heated construction trailer! The video below shows the progress. Keep checking back for more updates!

The building of our own screened porch is getting close to completion. We installed this slick screen system that any do-it-your-selfer can handle. Check it out!

Sorry guys for the delay in the latest post on our screened porch build. We have luckily been pretty busy! It’s the ‘decking and door’ today!

Cabinets are starting to be installed! We are seeing some light at the end of the tunnel on the interior. The exterior got a fresh coat of paint and I will begin doing some studies to add a wrap around porch in the coming weeks!

We have sheetrock! The spaces are starting to feel real now that the framing is getting covered. The finishes will follow soon with the bathroom tile underway. Check out the latest video and thanks for following along!

Demolition! For those of you who think taking out a wall, putting in a bathroom, etc. is easy, cheap and will take a weekend… Check out the actual amount of demolition work needed. When they tore up the old wood floor, there were literally thousands of staples that need to be pulled from the subfloor. I felt so bad for the guy doing it! But it is nice to see progress happening!

Another quick update of a project in our own backyard – literally!
